Abstract
The radiosensitivity in larval instars of the tasar silkworm, Antheraea proylei (Lepidoptera) was studied by analyzing larval growth,
frequency of larval mortalities, moulting, and larval durations. The growth of larvae was inversely proportional to the dose of gamma-ray treated. The larval lethalities expressed in LD50 values were found to be 60 Gy, 115 Gy, 160 Gy, 210 Gy, and 265 Gy in Ist, IInd,
IIIrd, IVth, and Vth instars respectively. As the dose increases the larval durations also increased in tolerable doses
